Calco Publications are
occasionally asked questions regarding the principle of commercial
sponsorship and it is hoped that the following might address any such
queries which you might need answered. If not, you can telephone us direct
on 020 8508 8882, or read the answers to some frequently
asked questions.
As the largest producer of
sponsored patient literature in the UK, we appreciate that to some, any form
of commercial sponsorship can prove a little sensitive. Consequently, we
strictly exclude any services which may offend, or promote products that
could prove detrimental to the health and welfare of your patients.
Calco Publications have
always maintained very high standards when selecting the services to whom we
offer sponsorship opportunities. Whenever possible, only the highest calibre
of sponsor is approached, to ensure that your patients receive the very best
service possible.

However, most importantly,
they must all offer a service appropriate to
the patients concerned. Our logic is simply that if your patients benefit
from the services offered, the sponsors will also benefit and continue to
support the card or leaflet on which they appear, year after year, ensuring
continuity for all concerned. It is a simple but effective philosophy,
supported by the fact that on some of our publications, the same sponsors
have appeared consistently for more than 10 years.
With Calco Publications,
you are also assured that the volume of commercial content will never overshadow the
purpose for which the card or leaflet on which it appears, was designed. In
most cases only 25% of the card or leaflet's surface incorporates commercial
content
and there are usually only two to four advertisements featured in total.
